Dans le quartier de Griffintown à Montréal, la maison d’Andrew Keegan est déplacée. Baptisée « Mount Temple Palace » par son propriétaire, elle s’apprête à rejoindre le hall d’entrée du Brickfields, projet immobilier de luxe. Tandis que la maison glisse dans la ville, le quotidien des habitants de Griffintown suit son cours.
On surveille la rue. On répare un trou dans le ciel.
On repeint les slogans en blanc.
Petit à petit, le quartier semble contaminé par un sentiment étrange. Les affiches promotionnelles emplissent le décor. Elles annoncent l’arrivée imminente de la ville du futur.

The Keegan House is moving. Thanks to new development projects, the oldest house in Montreal’s Griffintown neighbourhood has to be moved. It will be incorporated into a modern tower as a kind of memento of the good old days.
And here it is moving down the street, creating the incongruous image of a rooftop sliding through the city. Billboards hail the virtues of condos for happy families.
